Registration Open for Poker Tournament “St. Jude Against All Odds”. This tournament is for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, for benefitting the children who suffer from pediatric catastrophic diseases, childhood cancer, and other life-threatening diseases. This time they have transitioned the event to a virtual experience at 4 p.m. PT on Saturday, Oct. 24. The live stream will be hosted by Poker Commentator Joe Stapleton, will feature St. Jude mission moments, guest speakers, an auction, and an online poker tournament. 

Registration for the tournament is now open but a limited number of seats are available for the poker tournament, where participants will be competing to win a seat to the 2021 World Series of Poker Main Event. The whole purpose of the event is to raise awareness and support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is leading to the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Daniel Negreanu, the six time world series of poker champion, is the founder & co-chairman of the event. The sponsers of the event include Charity Series of Poker, SKC Group, JB Public Relations, 75 Brewing, and Revolution FMO, LLC.

The Tournament buy-in is $500 per person. We should be thankful to generous donors who participate in events like this, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child lives. Since 1962, when the hospital started their practices, have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent by the treatment invented by St. Jude.

About St. Jude Children’s Hospital

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Danny Thomas, a young entertainer started this organisation around 70 years back. Work for him wasn’t easy to come by, as a baby on the way. That prayer marked a pivotal moment. Soon after, he began finding work, eventually becoming one of the biggest stars of radio, film and television in his day. He was on Make Room for Daddy, later known as The Danny Thomas Show. 

Danny used his fame to fulfill his vow and to change the lives of thousands of children and families. In 1962,St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital opened in front of a crowd of 9,000 in Memphis, Tenn.
